What is VirtualBox?

- VirtualBox is an open-source software that allows users to create virtual machines on their computers. Virtual machines enable the installation and running of multiple operating systems simultaneously.


Installation Steps:

Step 1:

 Download VirtualBox

1. Download the VirtualBox software from the official website.


Step 2:

 Install VirtualBox

1. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install VirtualBox on your computer.


Using VirtualBox:

Step 3:

 Open VirtualBox

1. After installation, open VirtualBox.


Step 4:

 Create a New Virtual Machine

1. Click on "New" to create a new virtual machine.

2. Name your operating system, select the type of machine, and choose the version (32-bit or 64-bit).

3. Click "Next."


Step 5:

 Allocate RAM

1. Assign RAM to your virtual machine based on your computer's resources.

2. Click "Next."


Step 6:

 Create a Virtual Hard Disk

1. Select "Create a virtual hard disk now."

2. Click "Create."


Step 7:

 Choose Hard Disk File Type

1. Choose the hard disk file type (VDI recommended).

2. Click "Next."


Step 8:

 Allocate Storage Type

1. Choose "Dynamically allocated" for flexible storage.

2. Click "Next."


Step 9:

 Specify Hard Disk Size

1. Allocate a minimum of 30GB or more for your virtual machine.

2. Click "Create."


Step 10:

 Load ISO File

1. Right-click on the virtual machine.

2. Go to "Settings."

3. Navigate to "Storage."

4. Click on the empty disk icon under "Controller: IDE."

5. On the right, click on the disk symbol next to "Optical Drive."

6. Choose "Choose a disk file" and load your ISO file.

7. Click "OK."


Step 11:

 Start Virtual Machine

1. Select your virtual machine and click "Start."

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the operating system.


By following these steps, you can successfully install and use VirtualBox on your computer, creating virtual machines for various operating systems.
